Ashitaba Powder (‘Longevity Leaf’)

Ashitaba (Angelica keiskei) is a detoxifier of cells, very high in chlorophyll (a substance that has a molecular structure similar to that of human blood) and many other vital nutrients. It is one of the highest vegan sources of vitamnin B12.

Ashitaba is a green leafy vegetable that detoxifies the cells naturally. A celery-like vegetable of the Angelica family, Ashitaba is found in several places in Asia and Hawaii, where it grows exclusively on rich volcanic soil. Unlike celery however, Ashitaba is considered to be medicinal. Ashitaba is one of the most antioxidant vegetables.

Ashitaba is a plant that is very rich in minerals and phytochemicals because it grows only on volcanic soil. The main locations where it has been able to grow so far are some volcanic islands in Japan, and the volcanic slopes of volcanoes in Indonesia.

Ashitaba out-performs all other green leafy vegetables that were tested for their antioxidant potential based on the ORAC guide (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). Ashitaba is powerfully regenerative and may be consumed daily for life.

The Ultimate Green Leafy Vegetable – Ashitaba, or “tomorrow’s leaf,” is named for the plant’s remarkable ability to regrow leaves and stalk seemingly overnight.

Ashitaba has been called the ‘King of Alkalines’, as it has extremely alkalizing properties. It containing 11 vitamins, 13 minerals, chlorophyll, enzymes, carotene, germanium, saponins, proteins, plant fibers, glycosides, coumarins and a unique and rare class of flavonoids called chalcones which confer potent antioxidant activity.

This is the real Ashitaba (Angelica keiskei), not to be confused with ‘‘fake Ashitaba” (Longevity Spinach)
